Esherick House Rendering
Analytique | Graphite Rendering | Layout
In the Architectural Analytique project each student was assigned a house. The house I was assigned was the Esherick House by Louis Kahn. Our first assignment with his project was to research and present about the house. During the research portion I discovered two really interesting facts about Kahn and the design of the house. The first thing that I found out was how important lighting is to Kahn and his designs. You can see the importance radiate throughout all of his projects. The second thing that I found import with the Louis Kahn project "Esherick House" is the communication between the interior and exterior. When you look at the exterior of the house you see a plain exterior but when you compare the floor plan and the exterior you see the language flow from exterior to interior and translation of the "service v served" diagram.
